Workplace Health and Safety Management Statement
Effective workplace safety and health management along with productivity and quality is a critical factor in the overall efficiency of our company. We aim to provide and maintain a safe work environment and systems of work.
Following is a summary of our Workplace Health and Safety Management Policy.
The National Standard for safety within the workplace ‘The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015’ is the guiding principle identifying that workers and others need to be given the highest level of protection from workplace health and safety risks, as is reasonable. Through stringent observance of workplace hazard identification and risk management procedures we, Trispec Construction ensure strict compliance with the HSWA, and conscientiously implement those procedures outlined within those guidelines.
At all sites we identify and manage risks to our contractors and the public and encourage behaviour that reduces incidents causing potential injury/harm and near misses within the workplace. We believe the identification of workplace hazards and assessing the risks pre-task are essential steps in providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Risk assessments and hazard inspections of work areas are carried out on a regular basis and when any new systems, plant or equipment are installed on our sites. Safe work methodology procedures and job safety analysis aid in minimalizing potential risks and are supported and actioned on all our work sites.
Safety is not an issue for management alone. It requires active involvement, commitment and cooperation of all parties working together to create a safe and healthy working environment. All personnel and sub-contractors will have undertaken a comprehensive safety induction before commencement of work. Any safety issues raised by persons on site will be addressed and a nominated person as authorized by the Managing Director, given responsibility to follow up agreed actions.

While undertaking work for our clients. We will not tolerate conduct such as:
Working under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs of any description.
Horseplay or fighting while at work.
Theft of the Company’s (or any other) property or equipment.
Wilful damage or destruction of the Company’s (or any other) property or equipment.
Entry into areas that are identified as restricted.
Not following safe work procedures or standards.
Failure to wear, use or maintain correctly personal protective equipment and clothing.
Swearing and/or foul language.
